Why do so many gulf men have premarital and then want to marry a virgin?

I mean its kind of crazy. You see all these arab men in Dubai who have girlfriends and have before marriage. Its mostly with western women but even with local girls. But when they want to get married they want to marry a nice virgin. Why does arab society tolerate such double standards?
