I've heard of Mike Moyer (sorry, misspelled his name the first time) too! Since those are your major interests, you should think seriously about taking advantage of the current crisis in Japan. Contact one of the welfare organizations that is volunteering there right now, and tell them a bit about yourself and where you come from. They could potentially make you responsible for something -- I don't know what -- but it would definitely tie in very nicely to your interests in helping others, organization/planning, and perhaps even finance if they decide to put you in charge of money or donations! It would be REALLY cool to be able to state on your resume that you single-handedly coordinated a volunteer effort in such-and-such Japanese city after the 2011 earthquake, or something along those lines. Think about it :D
