Opinions please on whether my thinking is in the minority regarding travelers/gypsies?

As a gypsy myself (born & raised) in the United States.. I personally love animals and cant think of any family members of mine who would abuse them but all people have flaws .. As a child I was never abused other then a in but thats normal.. and as a gypsy I do feel judge because what I am non-gypsys who got to know me before they knew my heritage treat me normal but otherwise some not all people treat me unkindly without knowing my name .. so for anyone who judges a person for what they are other then what theyre like .. thats a shame!
