Ick-vey: What kind of bug is a flying beetle looking thing that has markings on it's back that look like eyes?

It is known in Oklahoma as a click beetle, if you mess with it, it will spring its body and land a few feet away. That is how it escapes it's enemies. Press on it's back with a pencil and watch.
