Packard bell?

i have a packard bell easynote r8720 last night i decided to put in a tv card it asked for driver and i didnt have it so i dowloaded one from the internet i instaled it and an error came up to do with memory etc etc and the laptop didnt want to come out of sleep moe so i disabled it with a proramme to do with start up options anyway since ive done this procedure my cd rom wont detect anything ive unistalled it and then restarted laptop says driver is installed properly but the cd rom still has an exclanation mark on it in the device drivers menu ive removed all the stuff i downloaded last night and it still wont work so i thought sod it ill put the reboot disc in and go from there the cd rom pics the disc up strangely enough but then says reboot by disc press any on so i did and nothing happens anyone got any ideas
